This may sound quite basic but you need to have a firm grasp on what you are actually looking for from your new uniform. Is advertising/marketing important to you? With so many different items of clothing which can branded up with your design, it is important to decide just which items may be useful. Would a range of polo shirts be enough or do you need to go a little further? T-Shirts, Hoodies, Tops, Trousers etc can all be branded with your logo, designs and strapline if required.

3. Create Mockups and Ask For Feedback

Whilst your new design is very likely to be something you will be very proud of, it's always important to check with the people who will actually be wearing it! As such, just because you think something looks great, does not guarantee that everyone will feel the same.

E-mailing trusted friends, your staff etc and asking for feedback (and then listening to it!) is a great way to ensure that you choose a design that is well liked by the people that matter.

Top Tip - Honest feedback is essential! If you are canvasing the opinions of your staff your staff, be prepared to hear things that you may not like! Don't penalise your staff for speaking there mind when that is exactly what you have asked them to do!!

Choosing the right hoody.

The number of different hoody styles, colours and combinations is staggering.

Preparing the names or design you want on your hoody.

Most clients supply a file with the names they want on their hoodies.

The usual style / design is to have names within the number (year).

This seems a popular style that looks great.

Don't worry, you don't actually need to do this part!

We put your list of names 'into' the numbers (it's called masking or clipping).

We send over the leavers design ASAP; for you to check and make sure you've got all of the names and you are happy with the layout.

We've had some really interesting and original design ideas sent to us, i.e. signatures within the numbers. We can usually accommodate most ideas.

After this approval, we send you a visual of the design on the hoody.

Concept layouts

We send you mock concept layouts via email (PDF format) for you to get a look and feel for the Leavers Hoody.

Once you are completely happy, you sign off the concept and we do what we do best - print Leavers Hoodies.

We can always prepare a sample for you.

We have had lots of requests recently asking for information about our Google Maps listing. We greatly value all of the feedback that we receive from our customers and below is an easy step by step guide detailing how to add a review.

Firstly, it is crucial that you are signed in with your Google account if you wish to write a review. If you need to create a new account, simply click here, click on the ‘Create An Account’ option at the bottom of the page and then fill in the details as requested. The account is free to create and use and you will not be obliged to use it again in the future once you have left your review.

Once you’re signed in to your Google + account, just follow these simple steps:

Open Google Maps and make sure you’re signed in.
Search for a ‘PB Leisurewear’
Click ‘Write a Review’.
In the window that appears, click the stars to score the place. If you want, you can also write a short review.

To anyone who is not in the clothing industry, peparing artwork (or digital files) can be a little daunting.

We often get asked for help in preparing the artwork for branded clothing. This is nothing to be embarrassed about, in fact, it's quite normal.

We offer this is a service, and we are more than happy to help you in all areas. From design to delivery.

Some customers are particularly interested in this area and are keen to learn about it, and if that applies to you - read on.

Bitmap vs. Vector

Bitmap is a confusing term. To confuse matters, there is actually a file type called Bitmap (.bmp) - but when the industry refers to Bitmaps, they are talking about graphics that are 'flattened' and made up of tiny pixels (see image to the right).

Vectors are 'pixel-free'. They contain no pixels at all and are made up of mathematical equations that result in smooth and perfect lines.

We can (and do) accept bitmap images, when they are of a high enough resolution, but we prefer vectors for absolute perfection.

Vectors are usually created using CorelDraw or Adobe's Illustrator. Some applications allow vectors to be exported into EPS files (Encapsulated Post Script) vectors, but the most common is to export it to Adobe's PDF (portable document format).

Fonts

We prefer outlined fonts (which is another way of saying converting the text to curves).

The reason why we prefer outlined fonts is that there are litereally 1000s of fonts... and we need to use the same one!

Usually this entails installing your font on our systems, to ensure they print as you designed them. Converting them to curves overrides this problem.

Usually, by creating a PDF, we can 'grab' the font from that file. Again, if you aren't sure - just ask!
